Driving Less = Less Stress?

The U.S. Census Bureau conducts regular evaluations of a variety of information. The Bureau is a treasure-trove of data. I'm sure whatever data you need, you'll find on their site or in their archives.

Well, I was browsing and I found this list of the states with the lowest drive times, and a companion table listing the metropolitan cities with their average drive times. This information was from 2002, but when you compare it with the 2006 state data and the 2007 state data, you're seeing that Oklahomans are at the bottom when it comes to drive times.

I think it's pretty good for us to have such low commute times. I think about this quite regularly as I compare my experiences commuting around OKC, with the trips I'd make into San Francisco or Los Angeles. There are a lot of great reasons to be in Oklahoma, certainly commuting is one of them.
